Zoo to announce 3 new sets of animals
Friends of Henry Vilas Zoo hopes to raise $10K for new animals

MADISON, Wis. — Henry Vilas Zoo officials will be announcing three new sets of animals Monday that will be joining the zoo in 2015, according to a release.
The announcement of what types of animals will be coming will be made the night before the zoo’s Giving Tuesday campaign, which will give the community to opportunity to help the zoo raise the funds needed to welcome the new animals to the zoo, officials said.
“We look forward to announcing the identities of Dane County’s newest animal residents,” Dane County Executive Joe Parisi said in the release. “Each of these animals will be a unique addition to the zoo and each took a different path to us. Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity for the community to help our Henry Vilas Zoo prepare for its new residents and we’re excited to share the animals’ identities with you to kick-start Giving Tuesday.”
The Friends of Henry Vilas Zoo’s goal for Giving Tuesday is to raise $10,000 to support bringing the new animals to the zoo.
