Ziegler still holds lead at State Men’s Amateur
Three shots ahead of Middleton's Johnson

MEQUON, WI — Robbie Ziegler struggled in the wind at Ozaukee Country Club, but still has a three-shot lead going into the final round of the Wisconsin State Men’s Amateur golf tournament.
Ziegler, the leader after the first two rounds, shot a 7-over par 77 Wednesday for a three-round total of four-over par.
“I got myself in bad spots,” he said. “Luckily I got up and down quite a bit and made a lot of key putts.”
Middleton’s Mitchell Johnson and Tyler Schmude are tied for second at 7-over par.
The round of the day was turned in by Brent Wong of Whitnall Park Golf Course. His even par round was good enough to take him from a tie for 27 th place to a tie for 9 th place.
Final round tee times begin at 8 a.m. on Thursday.
