Wrong-way, head-on OWI crash injures 2, police say
Both drivers suffered non-life-threatening injures in a head-on, wrong-way drunken driving crash Friday, police said.
Madison police said 32-year-old Caleb D. Stewart, of Watertown, was driving a Mustang north on southbound John Nolen Drive when he struck a car head-on at about 12:45 a.m.
The other driver, a 30-year-old Madison man, was taken to the hospital. Stewart was also injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report.
Stewart was cited on suspicion of operating while intoxicated causing injury and driving the wrong way on a divided highway, police said.
