Worker gets arm caught in equipment, flown to hospital

A 32-year-old employee of Cardinal Solar Technologies in Mazomanie was flown to a hospital after getting his arm caught in a piece of equipment, according to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency responders were called to 420 Wick Drive in Mazomanie at about 10:20 a.m. Deputies said Nathan Plant was doing maintenance on an accumulator machine when his arm got trapped and crushed. His arm was stuck for about 30 minutes.
Emergency workers got his arm out. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
OSHA is expected to investigate the incident.
