Two women are accused of joining in the attack of a 17-year-old girl at Memorial High School, according to a release from Madison police.

Officers were called to the school at 10:24 a.m. Tuesday after the fight broke out.

Police said the victim was attacked by another 17-year-old girl who struck the victim with a mini souvenir-style baseball bat before the two adults joined in the attack.

The girl who started the attack also used pepper spray on the victim, police said. The victim suffered bumps and bruises.

Large fans were used to ventilate the area where the pepper spray was used. Several uninvolved students were affected by the spray.

Antonette L. Crosby, 42, and Shirelle M. Crosby, 58, both of Madison, were arrested on suspicion of physical abuse of a child. The 17-year-old was cited for the use of the pepper spray.
