Woman who stole, pawned mom’s belongings sentenced

A woman who allegedly stole and pawned property belonging to her mother was sentenced Tuesday, according to a release.

Danielle Pionke pleaded no contest to misdemeanor theft as a party to a crime and possession of marijuana, officials said. A charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed but read-in.

The judge followed the joint recommendation from both parties and put Pionke on probation for 18 months, according to the release.

At Tuesday’s hearing, Pionke agreed that the facts in the criminal complaint and from the preliminary hearing formed a factual basis for her plea.

According to the criminal complaint, Pionke and her boyfriend stole and pawned property belonging to her mother between Aug. 23, 2013, and Dec. 15, 2013.

Pionke and her boyfriend also had marijuana and drug paraphernalia when they were contacted by law enforcement on Jan. 13, according to the criminal complaint.
