Woman struck by bicyclist in Beloit dies

 A woman hit by a teenager riding his bike on the sidewalk in Beloit has died of her injuries.

The woman, 58, was struck Friday afternoon by the 18-year-old on his bike, causing her to hit her head on the sidewalk. Police said the woman was taken to the hospital, where she died.

Riding a bike on a sidewalk in Beloit is an ordinance violation. Investigators said the crash appears to be an accident.
