Woman shot at downtown bar
A 25-year-old female was struck by gunfire at State Street Brats early Saturday morning, Madison police said.
Police said they responded to a report of shots fired at about 1 a.m. at 603 State St. While investigating, they found a woman who had been shot.
A WiscAlert was issued asking people to avoid the area. University police said on their Facebook page there is no immediate threat to campus.
The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The incident is under investigation.
