Woman sexually assaulted on Madison’s east side over weekend, police say

MADISON, Wis. — Police in Madison are searching for a man who they said sexually assaulted a woman in a parking lot of an east side business Saturday night.
In an incident report, police said officers responded to the 400 block of North Thompson Drive around 8 p.m. Saturday for a report of a stranger sexual assault.
The victim, a 27-year-old woman, told officers she was in a parking lot when the man asked her for money. After she gave him some money, he touched her inappropriately, police said. The victim then called police.
Police said the suspect is a man between 5 feet, 7 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a skinny build. He was wearing dark clothing, a black beanie and a mask.
