Woman knocked out with crutch, police say

Police said a Madison woman used a crutch to knock another woman unconscious in a fight that broke out during a Thursday evening gathering on the south side.

Diana Walker, 48, hit another Madison woman, 29, in the head with the crutch at a Moorland Road apartment after a dispute escalated into a “wrestling match,” police said.

The younger woman allegedly suffered a cut above her eye and received stitches at a hospital.

The report also alleged both women were intoxicated.

Walker was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property and battery.
