WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — One person was killed and another was injured in a crash outside the Wisconsin Dells Saturday morning.

The crash happened just before 6:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of State Highway 23 and County Highway B.

In a news release, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office said a 43-year-old Grand Marsh woman was heading south on Highway B when she failed to stop at a stop sign and hit 39-year-old Debra Holloway’s vehicle, which was heading west on Highway 23.

Holloway’s vehicle went into a ditch and overturned, ejecting her. She died at the scene, the release said. The Grand Marsh woman was taken to a hospital in Portage before being taken to UW Hospital in Madison.

Officials are still investigating the crash, but the release said the sheriff’s office expects to refer charges to the county’s district attorney’s office.
