Woman Found Guilty Of Threatening Judge

A Plover woman has been found guilty of threatening to burn down a judge’s house unless he changed his ruling in a child custody case.

Julie Grych, 35, will be sentenced June 8 and faces a maximum 18 years in prison. Portage County prosecutors said Grych left a voice message for Judge Frederic Fleishauer last September threatening to burn his house if he didn’t return her children to her.

The Stevens Point Journal said Grych was also convicted in a 2007 court case for threatening to burn down her parole officer’s house and also threatening the mayor.
