Woman arrested after east side Walgreens stabbing

MADISON, Wis. — A Madison woman is in jail this morning after a stabbing in a Walgreens parking lot on the city’s east side.
Takenya Ewing, 41, was arrested for second-degree recklessly endangering safety.
Ewing and the victim in the case know each other, but they hadn’t seen each other in years. Madison police say that seeing each other in the parking lot brought up a feud from the past.
The victim was cut on her back and stabbed in the stomach. The injuries are not life-threatening.
Police officials said the weapon used in the stabbing wasn’t recovered, but that they have proof that it was used in the crime.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
