WisDOT issues new Law Enforcement Memorial Plate

A new Law Enforcement Memorial specialty license plate is now available, according to a Wisconsin Department of Transportation release.

“The newest plate honors all law enforcement professionals killed in the line of duty. We’re pleased that we can offer another way to recognize those who serve our state,” said special handling section chief Megan Bergum.

According to the release, the plate joins Trout Unlimited and in God We Trust as the newest plate designs. Non-personalized specialty plates are available for a $15 issuance fee.

WisDOT said funds generated from the Trout Unlimited license plate released in March go toward the organization’s goal of conserving North American wetlands. Funds raised from the In God We Trust plates released in the fall are transferred to the Wisconsin Department of Veteran Affairs Veterans Trust Fund.
