Wisconsin softball splits doubleheader with UWGB

Tuesday at Goodman Diamond, Wisconsin and UW-Green Bay took a break from conference play to resume their in-state rivalry. Each team came away with a win, as Wisconsin won game one 6-2 and Green Bay took game two 15-9.
In game one, Badgers catcher Chloe Miller led the way, tallying three hits, driving in two runs, and scoring two. Ashley Van Zeeland also had two hits and drove in two runs for UW.
In game two, UWGB’s Miranda Spangberg led the Phoenix with five runs batted in, including a grand slam. Kelsey Jenkins also had three RBIs for Green Bay.
Wisconsin plays at Illinois on Friday.
