Michigan wins shootout

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Badgers and Wolverines skated to a 2-2 tie Saturday night at Yost Ice Arena, with Michigan winning a shootout 1-0.
The Badgers scored both of their goals in the second period with Michael Mersch scoring one in highlight reel fashion. Mark Zengerle scored the other on a penalty shot
Goaltender Joel Rumpel made 39 saves.
Luke Moffatte scored for Michigan in the shootout, with UW failing to score. Michigan gets an extra point in the standings by winning the shootout to come away with two points. UW takes home a point.
