Wisconsin volleyball prepares for toughest test of season, No. 1 Nebraska
MADISON, Wis. — On Wednesday night, the Big Ten’s top two volleyball teams will meet in a rematch of the 2021 National Championship when fifth-ranked Wisconsin hosts top-ranked Nebraska.
The Badgers know they will be tested in every phase in this match as the Cornhuskers come in with an 18-1 record, on an 11-match win streak, undefeated in conference play and undefeated on the road.
Nebraska is also holding opponents to the lowest hitting percentage in the nation. And that’s something that Wisconsin Head Coach Kelly Sheffield is dialed into.
“What I’m seeing right now, this is one of the better defensive teams that I’ve ever seen,” Sheffield said. “They are really, really good defensively.”
Sheffield added that his team has done really well offensively this season, but they will be tested Wednesday night.
The match is set for an 8 p.m. first serve at the UW Field House.
