Wisconsin may experience a bad flu season
MADISON, Wis. — Eight people in Wisconsin have been hospitalized for flu this month, an early start to the season and potential sign of a highly active season.
There’s also a possibility the flu season will peak early and then taper off.
Health officials are recommending getting a flu shot as soon as they become available.
The flu mist is not being offered this year. There are choices of what shot to receive, however, including a version that contains three to four strains of the virus.
In Australia, over 100,000 people have been diagnosed with the flu, making this season the most active in five decades.
