William Zwettler

William J. Zwettler, age 83 passed away Friday, April 27, 2012 at Maplewood of Sauk Prairie after a long illness.
He was born on July 27, 1928 to Frank and Alice (Boyle) Zwettler in Vermont Township.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1949. He married Marilyn Tollison on November 23, 1948 in Mazomanie. Bill was a carpenter and cabinet-maker by trade. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing horseshoes and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, his children; Peggy (Steve) Stolpe, Nadine (Jack Cusma) Zwettler, Cindy (Jesse) Goodman, Kathy (John) Dahmen, Bill Zwettler and Valerie (Jim) Brockmann eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers; Jack (Cora) Zwettler and Tom (Pat) Zwettler, two sisters; Eleanor Himsel and Pat (Connie) Lucey, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son; Mark, grandson, Casey Goodman and a brother and four sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2 at Hooverson Funeral Home, Sauk City.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the doctors and staff at Maplewood who took loving care of Bill during his illness.
