William S. Millard

MAZOMANIE-William S. Millard, age 73, of Mazomanie, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on Sept. 11, 1939, in Poynette, the son of the late Llewellyn C. and Betty Jean (Smith) Millard. He attended Smokey Hollow School, Dekorrah Elementary and Poynette High School. In 1960, he married Patricia J. Halloran, they remained united until his death. Bill was an employee of Oscar Mayer for more than 28 years and a member of the local meat cutters union.
Bill is survived by his four children, Jynon (Thomas) Kruger, William II “Steve” (Kellie), Pamela Chizek and Heidi (Phillip) Washington; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters, Sharon (Ernest) Coley and Ann (late Richard) Smith. Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Ann (Millard) Worthing; and a young niece and nephew.
Bill was a life-long member of PRAIRIE VALLEY CHRISTIAN CENTER, 923 Development Dr. Lodi where a Celebration of his Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, with the Rev. Brian Worthing presiding. Burial will be held at a later date at Hillside Cemetery, Poynette. To honor his memory, casual or western wear would be welcomed. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of St. Mary’s Hospital, Dean Clinics, the EMT’s of Mazomanie and Middleton Special Cardiac Unit. Also special appreciation to Doctor’s Cowgill, Jean Louis, Levine, McAuliff and the caring professional, Heidi Allen Bregeman, Robin and Naomi for all the care they gave Bill.
