William Bender

JANESVILLE— William V. “Waldo” Bender, age 59, of Janesville, died of heart failure on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center, Janesville. He was born in Richland Center on February 18, 1953, the son of Guy and Ardis (Sittig) Bender and was a 1972 graduate of Parker High School. William married Patricia Kowalski on December 15, 1990, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Janesville. He worked as a truck driver for DeLong Trucking. He enjoyed riding his Harley (carried flags for MDA Tub Run), was a car enthusiast and loved watching old movies.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; 2 step-children; Todd (Kelly) Onsgard and Michelle Chan all of Janesville; 3 grandchildren; Cole Calkins, Taylor Onsgard and Ethan Chan; his mother, Ardis Bender of Janesville; 2 brothers; Glen (Sheila) Bender and Jim (Shirley) Bender all of Janesville; a sister, Kathy Almond of Rockford, IL; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
