Willard “Jim” “Mac” James McCauley

BELOIT—Willard “Mac” “Jim” McCauley, age 71, of Beloit, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the Agrace HospiceCare Facility, Fitchburg. He was born in Beloit on May 25, 1941, the son of Delbert and Goldie (Bosler) McCauley. Jim was a standout athlete while a student at Beloit Memorial High School. He continued his love of sports, playing competitive fast pitch softball with a number of teams in the area. He spent his entire life in the painting and decorating business and had retired from Maintenance for the Kinnickinic School District. Mac was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his 2 children, Dawn (Jason) Cox and Brian McCauley both of Janesville; 3 grandchildren: McCauley, Kennedy, and Keeley Cox; brother, Robert (Mai-Lynn) McCauley of McColl, SC; the mother of his children, Marlene Geronimi of Janesville; an uncle, Richard (Mary Jo) McCauley of Beloit; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY. Sr. Lauretana Gorman will conclude the gathering with prayers.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Agrace HospiceCare, Inc. as well as Jim’s special friend, Shelly Rogers for the wonderful care given to Jim over the past number of months.
