West Beltline Frontage road to be closed through mid-May

The West Beltline Frontage Road at Seminole Highway will be closed through mid-May for construction, according to a Wisconsin Department of Transportation release.

The frontage road, between Whenona Drive and Seminole Highway, will close to through traffic Tuesday, officials said. Access will remain open to area businesses.

To help with the flow for Madison Metro buses, a temporary all-way stop will be installed at Seminole Highway and Milford Road, according to the release. Backups and delays are anticipated on Seminole Highway, especially during peak travel times.

Officials encourage drivers to use Verona Road as an alternate route.
