WATCH: Man robs Waffle House armed with pitchfork

Police are searching for a man they suspect of robbing a Waffle House in Georgia while armed with a pitchfork on Thursday night.

Police said the suspect, who they later identified as Jeffery Willard Wooten, entered a restaurant in Norcross, Georgia, around 5:30 p.m. He herded the employees into the stockroom with the pitchfork and then attempted to open the cash register. When he was unable to do so, he picked up the cash register and left the restaurant, police said. As he was leaving the parking lot, he tripped and dropped the pitchfork.

Two employees followed the suspect into the parking lot. One picked up the pitchfork and chased him to a Rite-Aid that was adjacent to the Waffle House, police said

When the man arrived at his vehicle, a fight ensued and the man was struck with the pitchfork by one of the employees. As he was leaving in his white Ford F-250, the rear window was broken out by one of the employees, police said.
Police have obtained warrants against Wooten on an armed robbery charge, but he hasn’t yet been arrested.
