Vivian E. Penewell

MADISON-Vivian E. Penewell, age 90, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Agrace HospiceCare.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1922, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of Edmund and Lulu Belle (Winebrenner) Teichmiller.
Vivian worked at Madison Kipp during WW II and met the love of her life, William Penewell, after the war. The couple were married on Apr. 26, 1946, in Madison, then built a house in Monona where they lived for 64 years.
Vivian was a wonderful cook, especially soups, and canned produce from her own garden. She adopted many kitties over the years and loved birds as well. Vivian cherished her home, yard and neighbors. She loved people and to talk and tell stories. Most importantly, Vivian was a beloved and patient Grandma and was an avid reader of history.
Vivian is survived by her daughters, Janette Randall and Lynette Penewell; granddaughters, Jenny (Jeremy) Nichols, Jessica Randall, and Rachael Penewell; great-grandson, William Nichols; sister, Lillian Kingsbury; and countless nieces, nephews, and beloved neighbors. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, William; parents; and 12 siblings.
Funeral services for Vivian will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, with the Rev. Bradley Homan presiding.
Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
