Violet Brien

Violet Brien, 87, of Richland Center formerly of Milwaukee died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Schmitt Woodland Hills. She was born March 18, 1925 the daughter of Elmo and Goldie (Amling) Hoffman in Little Port, Iowa. In 1951 Violet married Harlan Brien. Violet was a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening. Violet loved her dog Hermie.

Violet is survived by three sons: Harlan Brien, Jr. of Milwaukee, James Brien of Franklin, David (friend Rhonda Allbaugh) Brien of Richland Center, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Joann (Terry) Price of Waterloo, IA, brother, Junior Hoffman of Iowa, many other relatives, and friends.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harlan.

A private graveside service will be held at Forrest Hills Cemetery in Milwaukee. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service of Richland Center is assisting the family with their arrangements. Online condolences can be made at prattfuneralservice.com.
