Verona Road at County PD intersection construction begins

Constructions begins on intersection between Verona Road and County PD

FITCHBURG, Wis. — Crews began construction the Verona Road (US 18/151) and County PD (McKee Road) intersection on Monday Aug. 6.

The intersection is located in Fitchburg.

To improve safety and minimize congestion, additional left turn lanes will be placed where County PD approaches Verona Road.

Both roads will stay open to traffic during the construction. However, lane closures will occur during off-peak hours.

Drivers should be ready to slow down near work zones. They should also expect some delays.

The project is scheduled for completion in November.
