Verabelle Kolberg

MADISON-Verabelle “Vee” Kolberg, age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born on March 23, 1924, in Madison, the daughter of the late Arnold and Hedwig (Bleck) Baumann. She was a graduate of Madison Central High School, Madison Business College and a lifelong member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.

Verabelle was a loving Christian mother of five and grandmother of four. She is survived by her children, Paul (Mary) Kolberg, Sharyn (Jim) Bents, Terry (Nancy) Kolberg, Janice (Pat) Grosse and Karen Metzger (fiancé, Mike Stolen); grandchildren, Derrick Bents, Lindsay Bents, Erica(Shaan) Basak, Caitlin Kolberg and a sister Jean King.

Funeral services will be held at MT. OLIVE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 110 N. Whitney Way, Madison at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, with Pastor Jason Zobel presiding. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church.
