UW-Whitewater thumps Waldorf 65-0
Warhawks force six turnovers

WHITEWATER — The last time UW-Whitewater football played an NAIA team, they got a 70-7 win. Saturday at Perkins Stadium, Whitewater thumped Waldorf 65-0.
The Warhawk defense was swarming all night as they forced six turnovers and jumped out to a 41-0 lead in the first half.
In the 2nd quarter, Andrew Keister snagged an interception and ran it back for a touchdown to push the Whitewater lead to 34-0.
On the next Waldorf drive, the Warhawks forced and recovered a fumble as Zach Nellis was able to fall on it to give Whitewater possession. They scored to make it 41-0 moments later.
With the win, the Warhawks improve to 3-0. They travel to UW-La Crosse next week for their WIAC opener.
