UW assault and Carroll Street attack may be related, police say

MADISON, Wis. — Police believe there might be a connection between the N. Carroll Street assault and another attack that took place on the UW-Madison campus two days later.
The victims provided similar descriptions of their attackers, police said. Also in both cases, the women were walking alone and wearing earbuds when they were approached from behind and grabbed around the neck or head, according to officials.
Police ask that anyone with information contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
