Una Marie Wolff

Una Marie Wolff passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022. She was born on Sept. 28, 1929, on the family farm in the Town of Berry near Cross Plains, Wis., to Henry and Amanda (Marten) Reinecke.

Una attended Danz one room country school and graduated from the eighth grade, then helped on the family farm while her brother was in service during World War Il. She moved to Madison where she met the love of her life, Ruben Wolff, at a Turner Hall dance. They were married on June 24, 1950, in Middleton, Wis.

Una worked at Block Cleaners, Brandes Heating and then the University of Wisconsin student housing department for 27 years, retiring in 1995. Una and Ruben loved to dance and went to dances all over the state. They especially enjoyed the big band music in Chicago. They also loved to travel. They visited all 50 states, most of Canada, England, Europe (seven times), Australia, Egypt, Israel and Turkey.

Una was a member of Monona Lutheran Church since 1956 and a devout Christian. She volunteered at Bethesda Thrift Store for many years and enjoyed her work of sorting clothing. She enjoyed gardening, canning and freezing fruits and vegetables. She also loved flowers and plants especially roses and geraniums.

Una was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ruben in 2002; her brother, Alva and his wife, Grace in England; and her sister, Erma Collins in 2013. She is survived by some in-laws, many nieces and nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held at MONONA EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4411 Monona Drive, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park.
