UConn, Notre Dame, Louisville and Mississippi State landed the No. 1 seeds Monday night in the women’s basketball NCAA Tournament.

Last year, the Huskies also entered the tournament unbeaten and were seen as favorites for the title until their 111-game winning streak came to an end against Mississippi State in the Final Four.

Mississippi State lost last year to South Carolina in the championship game. The defending champion Gamecocks are 26-6 this year and earned a No. 2 seed in the tournament.

Notre Dame, a top seed for the past seven years, are 29-3 and will play No. 16 Cal State Northridge on Friday afternoon in the Spokane Regional.

Louisville (32-2) open against 16-seed Boise State on Saturday morning in the Lexington Regional while Mississippi State (32-1) gets 16-seed Nicholls State on Saturday afternoon in the Kansas City Regional.

This year’s Final Four is set for Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and will get underway on March 30. The national championship game will be held Sunday, April 1.
