Two Madison chefs are up for a Best New Chef award from Food & Wine magazine.

Chefs Tim Dahl of and Dan Fox of are nominated in the Midwest region, competing against other up-and-coming chefs from Minneapolis, Milwaukee and St. Louis, among other cities. There are one hundred chefs in total up for the distinction, divided into gropus of ten in ten geographic regions.

Both Dahl and Fox have received their share of acclaim locally. Dahl was dubbed one of Madison’s in our October 2011 issue, and Fox was our in 2013.
