Thomas F. Richard, 86, of Kieler, WI passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Stonehill Care Center, in Dubuque, IA. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 6th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, WI with Father Bernie Rott officiating. Burial with military honors accorded will be in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Kieler, WI. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday July 5th at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, WI and on Thursday, July 6th from 9:30 am until time of services at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Tom was born on January 25, 1931 to Edward & Alice (Brandt) Richard in Kieler, WI. He graduated from the former Loras Academy in Dubuque, IA in 1948. He married Jeannette Lucille Haas on July 25, 1953. He was on the home farm until he enlisted in the US Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Dubuque Packing Company for over 37 years until 1992.Tom was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council 765 and Holy Name Society. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, bowling and playing cards, but most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jeannette; 7 children: Dave (Belinda) Richard of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Donna (Dave) Richard-Langer of Des Moines, IA, Karen (Majeed) Hayat of Albuquerque, NM, Ken Richard of Madison, WI, Keith (Clare) Richard of Kieler, WI, Kathleen (Dan) Eggers of San Marcos, TX & Connie(Arvind) Deshpande of Washington, DC; 16 grandchildren: Melinda, Matt, Rachel, Chris, Amie, Kristen, Chelsea, Kari, Allison, Brent, Andrew, Evan, Michael, Carly, Nikki & Aidan; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette Klaas of Platteville, WI; 2 brothers: John (Joan) Richard of Kieler, WI and Larry (Diane)Richard of Mineral Point, WI; 2 brothers-in-law: Merlyn Kuhl & Bob Campbell; a sister-in-law: Viola Richard; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 siblings: Violet Kuhl, Dorothy Klaas, Carol Campbell, Bob Richard & Jim Richard; a sister-in-law: Mary Richard; 2 brothers-in-law: Bob Klaas & Merle Klaas; and 3 grandchildren: Emily Eggers, Marie Ellen Hayat & James Christopher Richard.

In lieu of plants & flowers a Thomas F. Richard Memorial Fund has been established.
