Thomas D. Jacobson

Thomas D. Jacobson, (Don) 86, of Madison, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2013.

He was born September 1, 1926 in Blanchardville, WI to Nora E. and Thomas L. Jacobson. On May 21, 1949, he married Lucille (nee Allan). They had been married for 63 years. He will be sadly missed by her.

Devoted dad of Marcia Siehr, Waukesha and Rick (Linda) Jacobson, Lodi. Very special grandfather of Matthew, Jason and Bethany Siehr. Also survived by a very special first cousin, Inez Watrud, Blanchardville, WI other relatives and friends. Preceeded in death by his parents, the late Thomas and Nora Jacobson.

He was a loving and patient father. Kind and caring to all of his friends with a giving nature. He enthusiastically loved his animals, and his outside birds, but was certainly remembered and defined by his humor. Tom proudly served his country during WWII aboard the U.S.S. Dawson, transporting troops to the Philippines. He was one of ten young men in Madison, WI who enlisted in the U.S. Navy at age 17, getting his diploma after the war.

Tom loved the railroad, working as a locomotive engineer for the Chicago Northwestern for 46 years.

Thank you to Oakwood Meadow for outstanding care.
