Teen seriously hurt in town of Pleasant Springs crash
TOWN OF PLEASANT SPRINGS, Wis. — A teen suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in southeastern Dane County Friday afternoon, deputies said in a news release.
Deputies 17-year-old driver from Stoughton struck the rear passenger door of a Honda Civic being driven by a 16-year-old on Friday afternoon.
The investigation suggests that the Honda Civic was attempting to turn around on Skyline Drive in the town of Pleasant Springs when it was struck by a Jeep Cherokee, according to a news release.
The Jeep Cherokee driver was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. The Honda Civic contained five people; the driver and three passengers were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. A teenage passenger in the Honda Civic was transported via Med Flight with life-threatening injuries. All occupants were wearing seat belts.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team is continuing the investigation. Both drivers are cooperating, but the names of the parties involved are not being released at this time.
