A Beloit teen was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in the town of Albion, according to a release from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the intersection of Highway 73 and Craig Road at 7:20 a.m. on a report of a crash.

Investigators said Caleb Dassow, 18, was driving north on Highway 73 when his car was hit by a truck driven by Michael Wixom, 45, of Janesville, who pulled out in front of Dassow’s car from a stop sign at Craig Road.

Dassow’s car went into a ditch on the northeast side of the road and rolled once, according to the release. Another person near the scene pulled Dassow from the car. He was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Wixom was not injured. He was cited for failure to yield.
