Teen charged in La Follette beating bound over for trial

MADISON, Wis. — A 17-year-old accused of beating a fellow student at La Follette High School, leaving him with serious injuries, was bound over for trial Tuesday, online court records show.

Tayshon Ross, 17, is charged with one count of substantial battery – intended bodily harm for his alleged role in a fight at the school in mid-January.

According to a criminal complaint, video surveillance shows Ross punching a 15-year-old student in the face. The student was hospitalized after the fight.

At an arraignment hearing Tuesday, the court entered a not guilty plea on Ross’ behalf.
