Teen arrested after walking into Target in underwear, allegedly hitting MPD officer

MADISON, Wis. — Police say a teenager was arrested for battery and multiple other possible charges Wednesday night at the Target on Junction Road.

The teen reportedly entered the store in only his underwear. Police were called just before 8:30 p.m. after he allegedly began pushing and punching the employees and customers at the store.

Witnesses said the teen was walking around breathing heavily, but not speaking.

Police say the teen was uncooperative when officers arrived at the store, leading to one of the officers trying to use a taser on the teen. Police said that led to a struggle where one of the officers was allegedly punched in the head.

Police did not name the teenager but said the teen faces several potential charges, including eight counts of disorderly conduct seven counts of battery, two counts of disarming a police officer, and one count of battery to law enforcement.
