Taps Across America event held at Fleet Farm locations on Memorial Day

DEFOREST, Wis. — The Taps for Veterans organization teamed up with Fleet Farm this Memorial Day to honor fallen soldiers as part of the annual Taps Across America event.

At 3 p.m., buglers simultaneously played taps at all 47 Midwest Fleet Farm locations.

Shanti Goppert, an operations manager for the company, said it was an honor to take part in the event.

CBS News’ Steve Hartman helped launch Taps Across America in 2020.
