Take us out to the ballgame: News 3 Now heads to Miller Park on Opening Day
New food, new experiences to draw fans
MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin — It’s the day Brewers fans have been waiting for since the final out of last year’s post-season: Opening Day 2019. This is the start of the team’s 50th season in Milwaukee since they moved from Seattle.
A new season means renewed optimism for the Brew Crew and a bunch of new things for fans to see and do at Miller Park. News 3 Now this morning talked to Rick Schlesinger, president of business operations, about what’s new this season:

While the Brewers have an impressive lineup this season, the team also has another lineup ready to rival the best in the game. Yes, we’re talking food! Chef Seth showed us the new food options at Miller Park this season, ranging from the outrageous to the health-conscious and everything in between:

While fans across the state are proudly donning their Yelich, Braun, and Cain jerseys this year, in the ’70s and ’80s, it was Gorman Thomas’ name on the backs of many fans. Thomas had three separate stints on the team, including as part of the 1981 and 1982 Division-winning rosters. This morning, he shared advice to a team trying to match that feat this season:

Opening pitch is at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, March 28. Management at Miller Park is warning fans to arrive early. Ballpark gates open at 11:10 a.m. Parking lots open at 10:10 a.m. The roof is expected to stay shut today.
One thing the team is keeping under wraps: who will throw out the opening pitch.
