MADISON, Wis. (AP) ��� A Republican congressman who derided Wisconsin's capital city as a communist haven is not backing down from his comments even as those in the city that prides itself as being "77 square miles surrounded by reality" take offense.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan is demanding that his Republican colleague from northern Wisconsin apologize for referring to Madison as a communist community.Rep. Sean Duffy made the comment in an interview on Fox News broadcast nationwide last week. Duffy, of Wausau, was being interviewed about the presidential recount requested by Green Party candidate Jill Stein.Duffy called Madison a "progressive liberal communist community."
