Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway announced Tuesday afternoon a proposed city ordinance that would charge threats made to election workers as disorderly conduct, punishable by fines up to $1,000.
Following a Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade and reverted Wisconsin back to a law passed in 1849 that criminalized abortions, Madison mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway says the city will not be arresting those who provide them.
Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway made the announcement in a tweet Thursday morning, saying she is only experiencing mild symptoms and is up-to-date on vaccinations and boosters.
