B.B. King's music influence extends to legendary Madison jazz musician

He was only 12 years old and the blues were part of life in Chicago. Richard Davis discovered the blues were also a part of music when he heard a young guitar player at the 708 Club. That guitar player was a young man named Reilly King.

UW-Madison professor nets highest jazz honor

An 83-year-old music professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison who has played bass with Bruce Springsteen and classical conductor Igor Stravinsky has been awarded the nation's highest honor in jazz.
