SC deputy dies nearly 3 weeks after being shot in standoff

South Carolina is in mourning after a sheriff's deputy died nearly three weeks after she was wounded in a standoff, the Florence County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies called, but didn’t expect an ambush.

They went in to serve a warrant and were met with a barrage of bullets

Officer Terrence Carraway rushed to respond when a gunman opened fire from a home in Florence County, South Carolina. As the barrage of bullets kept coming, he and his colleagues had to be rescued.
