As speeding and dangerous driving continue to be problems across Madison, city officials are redoubling their efforts to crack down on drivers putting others at risk.
Speeding enforcement continues to crank up on East Washington Avenue in Madison, with police stopping 30 people for speeding this past Friday night and Saturday.
The traffic stops were part of an enhanced enforcement project by the Madison Police Department that focused on East Washington Avenue at Ingersoll Street. The speed limit is 25 mph in that area.
A 25-year-old man is struck by a hit-and-run driver will crossing E. Washington Ave. early Friday morning, according to a police report.
