Suzanne Eileen Ennis

DODGEVILLE – Suzanne Eileen Ennis, age 59, of Dodgeville, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on March 26, 1963, in Bellview, Wash., the daughter of James and Catherine (Davis) Ennis.

Suzanne attended Walden High School in Racine, Wis., received an associate degree from MATC, and worked as a sales agent for Lands’ End for over 12 years.

Suzanne loved gardening and spending many hours and even days working in the soil.  It was her happy place.  She loved riding her motorcycle and looked forward to every ride.  Spending time with family and friends, and her loyal canine companion, Rico, was what she loved the most.  She loved to reminisce on all those special moments.

Suzanne fought a courageous battle with Leukemia these last several months. She faced it like all things in her life, with a fiery spirit and a strong will. She will be greatly missed for her honesty, loyalty and living each day the best she could, with no regrets. She had a sharp wit and up until the end she was cracking jokes and making everyone around her smile and laugh.

Suzanne is survived by her son, Joshua Ennis; daughter, Adrienne Ennis; mother, Catherine; brother, James (Tisbury) Ennis Jr.; sister, Robbin Ennis; five grandchildren; as well as numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her father, James.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, with a motorcycle ride to honor Suzanne’s life. Updates regarding this will be posted through Gunderson’s website page, as well as to Facebook.

The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses, doctors and staff at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison for attending to Suzanne during her numerous stays over the last several months.  Many became friends to her during this time.  We cannot say enough about the tremendous love, support, and compassion they gave to her, especially in her final days.

In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, memorials may be made in Suzanne’s name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at https://www.lls.org/.
