Suspicious person reported on south Westfield Road

A suspicious person was reported Wednesday afternoon on South Westfield Road.

A 17-year-old high-school student said a man she did not know pulled his car up next to her and asked if she wanted a ride.

She told him no and said that the man drove slowly next to her as she continued to walk and that he made several U-turns, each time driving his car past her while staring.

The teenager did not initially contact the police, but she was advised to call 911 immediately if this happens again.

The suspect is a 30- to 40-year-old male with “messy” black hair, a thin build and a dark complexion, possibly Hispanic or Asian.

He spoke with no obvious accent and was driving a “newer” white four-door car.
