‘Suspicious’ man asks teen to get in van, police say
Officials release picture of similar van involved in incident Sunday
JANESVILLE, Wis. — Police are asking the public to report any encounters the public has with a suspicious van in the Janesville area.
Around noon on Sunday a 13-year-old girl was walking behind the Ace Hardware Store at 2720 E. Milwaukee St. when a man stopped his vehicle and asked the teen if she wanted to get in his van, police said.
The girl was not injured, and she walked away from the man, according to a release.
The man is described as white, 60 years old, with gray hair. He was last seen wearing a black or brown baseball hat and a blue shirt with a white shirt underneath it. The van is described as tan with dark windows, and is possibly a Chevrolet Venture mini van.
