Suspicious item turns out to be science experiment
A suspicious plastic container behind a Missouri sandwich shop turned out to be a science experiment.
KMBC-TV reported that police in Platte City were called to a Jimmy John’s after someone saw the container, which was full of blue liquid and attached other items.
After a two-hour investigation, authorities determined it was a high school science experiment meant to demonstrate how hydrogen can be used as power.
KMBC-TV reported that the student who built the experiment demonstrated it to friends inside the shop, then left it behind the store so other friends could see it.
No charges are expected in the case.
